WhatsApp is about to launch its mobile payment system, just like that of PayPal or Monzo but WhatsApp promised to make it easier as it is to sending a text message.
The feature is currently being tested in India, even since last year but Mark Zuckerberg – the founder of Facebook, plans to launch it fully in the country and other countries.
This is how exactly the feature is said to work. Users will be able to link their bank account to WhatsApp account through the help of UPI (Unified Payments Interface) and begin making payment to another user’s account through a WhatsApp chat.
The payment option will be placed near the camera icon and when a user clicked on it, they will see a list of banks on the screen. A user can then select the one to which bank account is being linked and a user is required to verify it before sending the money.
