Some weeks ago, Mark Zuckerberg takes the decision to rebrand WhatsApp and Instagram for users to know that they are owned by Facebook. So, WhatsApp is planned to bear “WhatsApp For Facebook” while Instagram to bear “Instagram For Facebook” and the changes was approved.
But just recently, the new name was spotted on WhatsApp settings. The latest version of WhatsApp has adopted the new name and any user who updates his or her WhatsApp will definitely see the name at the bottom of settings just like this below.
I think this a good move by Facebook to have their own identities with the apps because Facebook bought the social media apps from the founders some years ago and it’s good to tell or change users perception that Facebook really owns the app.
What’s your say?
