The use of 48MP camera became popular this year and it’s time for 64MP to come into the light as OEM are working seriously on increasing the aperture to get more light into the tiny sensors on mobile devices.
Realme and Redmi have both teased smartphones with 64MP camera but it seems Realme smartphone will hit the market first which is said to come over on the 8th of August, 2019.
According to Realme India CEO, Madhav Sheth announced that the smartphone with the world’s first 64MP quad camera is coming on August 8th and the four cameras are aligned vertically. Meanwhile, the details of the other three cameras are unknown but may include a super wide angle lens.

The 64MP main camera lens is at the top. According to reports, the camera may be the Samsung GW1. The sensor area is up to 1/1.72 inches with single-pixel area of 0.8um. It uses re-picking and tetracell technology to produce quality image in low-light environment and additionally, it promises a direct 64MP image output in a bright environment. It supports Super PD autofocus and 100dB of real-time HDR.
