Huawei fate’s still hangs in the balance as the company 90 days license expires today. Some months ago, the U.S blacklisted Huawei from doing business with American companies for national security reasons. Huawei got a 90-day licence which expires today and there are indications that the company will get another 90-day temporary trade license as Huwei CEO, Ren Zhengfei seems a bit disturbed.
In an interview with British Media, Ren Zhengfei said the U.S has something to lose if it blocks Huawei from trading in the country. He said;
“If the U.S blocks the Internet and prevents Google from providing Android to Huawei, the emergence of a third system would be detrimental to the US’s dominance.
“This little brother may have to work harder than the big brother…there is a certain risk if this happens.
“Without Trump’s ‘propaganda’, people all over the world will not know that Huawei is so powerful, so good. We don’t care which country buys us or don’t buy us, our fundamental problem now is to sell…”.
Remember that the U.S government was to publish terms and conditions for Huawei’s trade with American companies but the launch of the new Harmony OS (Huawei’s HongMeng system) made it not to happen. So, Huawei will continue to deal with American companies if there is no restrictions and rumours claims Huawei is already cutting short its reliance on American companies.
What’s your say concerning Huawei current situation?
