After Fairphone launched the first environment friendly device back in 2013, it has added another one in the lineup called Fairphone 3.
Fairphone is a dutch-based company that loves to create environment friendly products that are designed using raw materials and fair-labour practices. The company does not produce phones with top innovative features but only loves to save the environment in a unique way.
Phones from Fairphone are long lasting and upgradeable which helps in reduction of e-waste. The company believes in ethical, substanable and reliable smartphone.
Looking at the specs of Fairphone 3 smartphone, the phone sports 5.65 inches full HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio with thick bezels. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 652 Chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt memory storage. In the camera, it comes with 12MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and at the front, it has 8MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture. It is fuelled by 3,000 mAh battery capacity with support for Quick Charge 3.0.
Other specs includes stock Android 9.0 Pie, Dual Band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack, Fingerprint scanner and NFC for mobile payments and one-tap pairing requests. Note that the phone does not ship with earphone and charger but you can still order these accessories separately.
If you look at the features, you would notice it does not come with high-end features but that is not exactly its main focus. The phone is environment-friendly, substanable and does not harm the environments in any way during its production.
The phone comes with 2 years warranty and shipping is said to start from October. As of now, you can pre-order Fairphone 3 smartphone at the price of €450 which is $498 and in Naira, it’s N181,000.
