The typing of passwords each time is stressful enough and has brought the use of fingerprint feature that made it more easier but Google has decided to make log in on its apps much easier for us. By so doing, it has updated its Google services to allow users log in using fingerprint instead of typing passwords in supported websites.
Once you register or enroll your fingerprint in certain Google services, you’ll be asked if you want to use your Fingerprint scanner to log in from now onward. The method works on apps and on the web natively.
The authentication feature is built on FIDO2 standards, W3C WebAuthn and FIDO CTAP for simple and yet secure way to log in using biometrics data.
Thanks to FIDO2 Standard, the authentication feature can also be used on the web and not only on apps on Android.
