A new interesting feature has been discovered from the latest Android operating system called Android 10. The feature display a “USB Port disabled” warning notification on the screen when system detects liquid or debris in the USB port of the device.
The feature from Android 10 also disables any connection attached to the port and enable them only after the port has cleared all dirt.
Meanwhile, LG and Samsung devices have the feature of port pollution warning enabled before but the effect was not good. Users keeps complaining that the LG G6, LG V30, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and other devices randomly appears wet warning notice.
Another feature the Android 10 comes with is the ability to warn users to unplug the device when it’s overheated. When the USB-C reaches specified temperature, it warns users to unplug the charger and also note them that the cable may get hot. When a temperature is in 60°C it signals critical status but when it is in 65°C it signals emergency.
The new Android 10 feature prevents devices from short circuit and overheating which is very good but however, report from XDA indicates it’s optional for smartphone manufacturers.
